Worlds Smash Expedition
Privacy policy

Effective September 20, 2026 · Version-specific disclosures through 0.6.41

Worlds Smash Expedition is published by RiftPine Studios. This policy explains the game’s data practices and how to contact us. Version 0.6.28 has no advertising SDK. The advertising sections apply to ad-supported versions beginning with 0.6.29, including testing builds that request test ads.

Data stored on your device

The game stores your campaign progress, earned Stars, weapon inventory, selected ship, trophy achievements, and audio and visual preferences locally on your device. It also uses a device-local cryptographic key to check the integrity of your saved progress. These records are not sent to us. Ad-supported versions also store your selected age group, the daily rewarded-video allowance, reward receipts, the once-per-level extra-move reward record, and, where enabled, a counter for between-level ad breaks locally. You do not provide an exact birth date. These local records keep rewards consistent and prevent duplicate credits. The game does not require a player account or login.

Collection, sharing, and permissions

The developer does not receive your campaign save or operate a player analytics or cloud-save service. The game does not request contacts, camera, microphone, phone-call contents or precise GPS location. Version 0.6.28 does not contain advertising or tracking services. Ad-supported versions use Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform (UMP), whose data handling is described below.

The game can use device vibration for feedback. It checks Android’s audio mode locally to pause or mute game audio during a call; it does not access phone numbers or record conversations. Artwork, narration, music, and videos are packaged with the game; AI generation tools used during development do not receive player information through this game.

Google Play handles distribution and asset delivery under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. The store-distributed build includes Google Play’s asset-delivery components to install its bundled game content.

Advertising and consent

In ad-supported versions, Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares device IP addresses (which may indicate approximate location), device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app-set ID, app/ad interactions such as launches, taps and video views, and diagnostic information such as launch time, hangs and energy usage. Google processes this information for advertising, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention. This includes requests for test ads in testing builds. SDK data is encrypted in transit. We do not receive your raw advertising identifier or IP address through a developer server; AdMob may provide aggregate advertising reports.

Ad requests and ad preloading may transmit these data before you tap or watch a video, after the age and applicable consent flow allows ads. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all ad-related data collection. Google UMP checks and stores applicable consent and privacy-choice status. Where required, it presents consent or opt-out choices before the game requests ads. An Ad Choices control appears in Settings → Privacy & Support when required. Declining consent does not prevent normal gameplay; depending on applicable choices and Google availability, limited ads or no ads may be shown. The game uses your locally selected age group to send appropriate under-age settings to Google. No ads are requested for a selected age under 13 or while no age group has been selected. Under-18 selections use Google’s under-age-of-consent ad setting to restrict personalization. Android advertising identifiers can also be reset or deleted in your device settings.

Optional rewarded ads offer the reward shown before viewing: in versions 0.6.38 through 0.6.41, 10 Stars (up to five completed Star-reward ads per UTC day), or three extra moves after running out of moves (once per level in the saved campaign). The reward is granted only after the advertising SDK reports that it was earned; an early close or failed ad does not grant a reward. Version 0.6.38 uses rewarded ads only. Versions 0.6.39 through 0.6.41 also schedule a between-level ad break after each five newly completed levels, including mini-boss and main-boss levels; replaying a completed level does not advance that counter. These breaks do not interrupt active play. If an ad is unavailable or ineligible, play continues without waiting for it. Earlier ad-supported versions may use different limited between-level placements. Test builds may request test ads, which do not establish live advertising availability. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another player. We do not sell player records directly. Advertising-related collection or sharing can be subject to legal definitions such as sale, sharing or targeted advertising; use the available privacy choices to control eligible uses.

Google handles its advertising records under its own retention and deletion practices. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps. Clearing the game’s local storage does not delete information previously received by Google. Contact us for questions about your privacy rights; Google’s privacy resources provide controls for data held by Google.

Stars and purchases

Supported Android versions, including 0.6.41, also offer Remove Ads, a one-time non-consumable purchase that disables automatic between-level ad breaks. Optional rewarded ads remain available when the player chooses them and applicable consent and eligibility allow them. The game shows the current Google Play price before checkout. Only a completed, verified purchase activates the benefit. A hashed purchase-token reference and ownership flag are stored with the protected local save. Use Restore Purchase with the same Google Play account to recover this benefit on a supported installation; restoring it does not restore consumed Star packs or local campaign progress.

Weapons can be obtained with earned Stars. Android versions with Google Play billing can also offer optional, consumable Star packs: Star Spark (90 Stars), Star Boost (300 Stars), and Galaxy Stars (540 Stars). The game shows the price returned by Google Play before checkout. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Older preview builds marked “Purchases coming soon” cannot take payment. Purchases become available only when Google Play makes the products available for the installed version and account. Only eligible Google license-test accounts and configurations use Google’s test payment flow. Joining a closed test by itself does not guarantee free purchases. Check the price and payment method shown by Google Play before confirming; ordinary purchases can be charged.

Purchases use Google Play Billing and the payment methods offered by Google Play; the game does not separately collect Google Pay credentials. Google Play processes payments and payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. The game does not receive your card number or bank details. Through Unity In-App Purchasing 5.3.1, the game receives product identifiers, price/currency information, order status and signed purchase receipts/tokens from Google Play to verify, deliver and confirm the purchase and prevent duplicate rewards. The game stores the Star balance and a hashed purchase-token reference locally with your protected save. We do not operate a server receiving these receipts. Google Play may provide the developer with order and sales reports. No Unity Analytics or Unity Authentication service is enabled by this billing integration.

Only completed, verified purchases grant Stars; cancelled or pending payments do not. Consumable Stars are not cash, cannot be transferred between players, and are not a cloud account balance. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can erase local progress and unused Stars; consumed packs are not automatically restored from Google Play. Do not delete game storage to troubleshoot a purchase. Contact RiftPineStudios@gmail.com for assistance, or use Google Play’s purchase history and refund support. Information you voluntarily send to support is handled as described below. Ad-supported versions may also offer the optional ad rewards described above. This description does not limit any statutory consumer or refund rights. Google Play’s applicable refund process and support assistance remain available.

Retention and deleting local progress

Local progress remains until you clear the game’s app storage or uninstall it. Android backup is disabled for this release; device transfer or restore behavior can also depend on your operating system and device manufacturer. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can permanently remove your progress and local save key. We do not hold a server copy that we can restore.

Support messages

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and investigate your request, not for advertising. Email is processed by the email services used to send and receive your message. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary support records, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the address below; records required for legal obligations may need to be retained. Local game data must be deleted on your device because we cannot access it.

Audience

The intended audience is ages 13 and older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent personal information through support, contact us so we can address it.
